My brother found a heart-shaped stone on the shore. Meanwhile, the waves were too angry for surfing. I got a good workout attempting though.

In the streets of Manila we have jeepneys and I saw the cutest one ever with a rainbow painted on it and a McDonald’s logo. Had some gourmet sushi I had been craving for over a year, some frozen yogurt and more shopping. Perfect way to end the year.

In 2012 I vow to have German beer in Germany and Italian food in Italy. Cibo’s spinach dip is a classic though and I will always have that in Manila. Explored some of the new night spots in the metro with the girls for some pre-new year’s eve partying.

More food and shopping! I missed Filipino dishes like tinapa and laing sooo much.

Made my family some typical Spanish patatas fritas con huevos y chorizo. I also made some tinto de verano because it’s summery hot, like how it usually is here in the Philippines. Not missing winter in Madrid at all. Then some classic pinoy street food (from the mall food court) shawarma, squid balls and siomai for merienda!
